CASTLE ROCK MERLOT
- Rich, medium-bodied, complex wine
- Flavors of ripe berry and plum, mocha and spice
- Excellent accompaniment to steak and other red meats, pasta dishes and a variety of cheeses
Our Castle Rock Merlot was produced from grapes grown on beautiful hillside vineyards in Washington State's prestigious Columbia Valley, and it has spent 18 months again in French oak barrels. This rich, medium-bodied, complex wine offers layers of concentrated flavors of ripe berry and plum, mocha and spice, wth a hint of oak. These flavors unite to form a long smooth, and harmonious finish. This wine provides an excellent accompaniment to steak and other red meats, pasta dishes and a variety of cheeses.
"Aromas of green wood, herb and cherry lead to ripe but chalky feeling fruit flavors. There's some interesting things going on but a sense of astringency and bitterness proves distracting."
